Mossley Festival Association Ltd (MFA)
Mossley Festival Association Ltd (MFA) is a voluntary organisation with a community focus. Our aims can be summarised as:
1. Promoting music and arts in the community
2. Helping to achieve community cohesion
3. Working with disaffected young people from the community to try and increase their self esteem and therefore reduce social problems.
These aims are primarily 
achieved by the staging of an annual music and arts festival in Mossley. To date, six major festivals have been staged by MFA - the size and ambition of the festival has grown steadily during these years and the number of people involved in the festival has also grown.
In addition to the staging of a festival, MFA has also been involved in a number of ancillary projects. For example we have used our knowledge
and experience to run a series of dj workshops targeted at difficult to reach young people from a local deprived area. This proved to be an effective way of engaging these people and involved working in partnership with a number of other agencies.
